Welcome to the Forest Park Youth Soccer Association (FPYSA) website. We hope this website will provide all the key details you require to keep you updated on the fast paced Youth Soccer Program. The soccer board is always available to add extra support or answer additional questions. We are always open to suggestions to improve and serve the players and parent's needs. Our goal is to help YOUR Soccer Association be as successful as it can be while focusing on the children developing soccer skills, building teamwork and most importantly-having FUN!
The backbone of any successful organization is the volunteers. While we have a very hardworking and dedicated board, we need YOUR help to ensure our product, a fun skill building soccer environment, is the best it can be. How can you help? Just ask.... An expert knowledge of the game of soccer is not required, and I am proof of that. What we need:
- Coaches (coordinate team- main communication pipeline, run practices-establish and execute drills and promote skill building, run games-direct players and ensure fun)
- Assistant Coaches (help and back-up coach)
- Parents (encourage children, offer assistance to coaches, organize snacks, etc)
Forest Park Youth Soccer Association is independent of the Forest Park District. We run both a Spring and Fall league comprised of 8 weeks of games each. We utilize the Forest Park District state of the art soccer field for practices and games. In both seasons we engage other local townships to increase the competition and afford more game opportunities. In the fall we offer the opportunity to have team and individual pictures taken too.
